Last month, Vivo unveiled its X200 flagship series in China. Now, a global release seems imminent, with Vivo’s Malaysian branch hinting at an upcoming launch. The teaser posted on their official Facebook page suggests the X200 series could soon hit international markets.
What to Expect from the Vivo X200 Flagship Series
The X200 lineup includes three models: X200, X200 Pro, and X200 Pro mini. The teaser shows the X200 Pro alongside a green variant, likely the X200 Pro mini, as the mini model had this color exclusive to China.
Will the Vivo X200 Pro Mini Launch Globally?
While details about the global release remain scarce, it’s uncertain which models will launch outside China. The mini version may not be part of the global release, though it’s possible that the standard X200 will feature a green option. There’s also a chance the green variant shown is simply a mix-up, as the camera designs of the X200 and X200 Pro mini are almost identical.
Personally, I hope the mini model makes its way globally. Compact smartphones are becoming rarer, and while a 6.3-inch display may not seem compact by today’s standards, it would still be a welcome addition.
Global Release Timeline for the Vivo X200 Series
As for the global launch timeline, we expect the X200 series to roll out by late November or early December. The series looks impressive on paper, powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 9400 processor. The X200 features three 50MP cameras, while the X200 Pro ups the ante with a 50MP main sensor, a 200MP telephoto lens, and a 50MP ultrawide camera.
Software and Features of the Vivo X200 Flagship Series
In China, the X200 series runs on OriginOS 5, but the global version will ship with Funtouch 15 OS, based on Android 15. If you’re in the market for a new Android flagship, keep an eye out for the X200 series’ global release.
